Adnan Oktar: The way out of this crisis is to do away with interest rates. In other words, a return to the banking system known as Islamic banking. Everyone has seen this be successful in Britain and in America. This is the only banking system that has not been affected by the crisis. And everyone is now borrowing from them. It is being examined in Britain, America and Europe. They are thinking of moving to it.

Adnan Oktar: There is trust in Allah, rather than panic, in the solution that Islam will provide. Panic is one of the main destabilizing agents in such phenomena. Since Muslims place their trust in Allah and do not panic, the problem of panic will be eliminated. Second, there is no interest system in Islam. Interest produced this system. Interest rates must be reduced to zero. Islam means mutual aid. It means helping the poor, providing opportunities for them, even distributing large sums of money and cancelling such debts as people have.

Following the decision, the borrowing rate fell to 9.75% and the lending rate to 12.25%. This is the first time the indicator has fallen to single digits. There has been a 7-point reduction over the last 6 months.
